ECIU University Consortium

ECIU is the European Consortium of Innovative Universities, and alliance of EU Universities under the ERASMUS+ program to advance in the definition of the European Higher Education Space for 2030.

The SMART-ER Project

The ECIU University Research Institute for Smart European Regions (SMART-ER) is a research, innovation and education strong alliance, enabling all 12 ECIU University member institutions to jointly address complex societal challenges under the framework of the UN SDG11 (Sustainable cities and communities).

Citizen Science

Citizen Science will become a relevant dimension of the European University, and the SMART-ER Institute will help consolidate trans-national collaborations in which Citizen Science appears as a fundamental ingredient.

The ECIU Partners presented below will work together during 36 months in the context of SMART-ER to identify the structural gaps, capacity building needs and required actions to consolidate Citizen Science as a reality.

ECIU

European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) is the leading international network of research intensive universities, with collective emphasis on innovation, creativity and societal impact.

ECIU University

The ECIU University is an EU-funded initiative of the alliance of 12 universities in the ECIU that creates a ground-breaking and innovative educational model on a European scale.

SMART-ER Project

The SMART-ER project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 101016888.

The ECIU’s SMART-ER Community of Citizen Science is coordinated through our team at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
